Rio is not the only place where it's raining medals - it is in Harry's World as well!
Can't believe I'm spreading this news so soon after the Global Ebook Award, but I am...I have to share it!
A couple of weeks ago I announced that Harry's World was a finalist in the 2016 IAN Book of the Year Awards (Independent Author Network, based in Canada).
Well, I jumped for joy this evening when I opened the email telling me that Harry's World had won the Mystery Category, being the "Outstanding" novel in that group.  So, first place/gold medal equivalent!  So happy here.
And Harry's World, being the category winner, is still in the running for best fiction book of the year.
Cheers,

We were just on out way out this Sunday afternoon in Sydney to see the new Absolutely Fabulous movie (and it was hilarious!) and got the email from the U.S. telling me that Harry's World had won the bronze medal in the Fiction - Mystery category of the 2016 Global Ebook Awards.
Great to see Harry being appreciated!

Harry is getting around...the reprobate that he is!

A MASSIVE thank you to all the libraries around Australia who have added Harry's World to their collections. As a new author on the scene, it is so wonderful to have libraries supporting me.

Here in Sydney and surrounds, Harry's lobbed in to Ashfield, Canada Bay, Wyong, Botany Bay, Willoughby, Sydney, Randwick, Manly, Wollongong, Auburn, and Sutherland.
And for our country cousins in NSW, try Leeton, Richmond Valley, and Richmond Tweed.

Our Queensland friends are picking a good read when they see one - Ipswich, Isaac Regional, Gympie, and Townsville - all have Harry's World for local readers.

You live in Darwin or Alice Springs?  Never fear, Harry is available for you too, see your local library!

Heading west, to my old stomping grounds in WA as a copper, and the source of so much of my material, Cambridge Library at Floreat, and just as of today, Gingin Shire Library.

Down south in Victoria, try Moonee Valley and Ballarat.

And for our SA cousins, head into Marion Libraries.

Tasmania, where are you???!!!  Come on Tassie, you need to get Harry on your shelves!!!

So, Harry is definitely getting around our great and far flung country...I hope you all enjoy Harry when you get the chance!

Cheers,
ABP

THANK YOU & MERCI BEAUCOUP!
To all my readers, so far, thank you so much for showing the interest in reading Harry's World and for the overwhelmingly positive feedback you've given me.  Nothing better than someone saying they were up half the night reading it, and when's the next one coming out?  I know that's how I feel with a book I've loved reading, so if Harry's World is doing that for you, then I am truly stoked.
Rest assured I am working on the sequel, and will keep you posted via this blog.
I've also fielded lots of great questions over the last few months about Harry's World, so I'll be doing some blogs over the coming weeks to talk about some of those points.  Stay tuned for chats about government corruption, policing, social issues, power dynamics, and just how much of Harry's World is based on fact.  Just how much is actually quite scary...
Cheers,

I do love getting good news emails from around the world for Harry's World.  Sorry if that sounds a bit self-indulgent, but with all the work that went into the novel, I'll happily soak up any positive feedback.
So, today, I found out that the international Canada-based Independent Author Network (IAN), of which I'm a member, has selected Harry's World as a Finalist in their 2016 Book of the Year Awards (Mystery category).  And, Harry's World is still in contention to go further and take out one of the prizes, so fingers crossed.
Now, back to knuckling down for that sequel.....
Cheers,
