Darwin - Author Talk and Interview

Darwin was absolutely wonderful!  My first visit and I loved the place, although the heat and humidity made me feel like I was in Bali or Thailand on holiday!  Still, that's not exactly a problem.
I had a great night at the Casuarina Library (photos above) - many thanks to Stacey and Nina for organising and hosting the event.  A good crowd with lots of great questions.  Almost everyone bought a copy, so I do hope you all enjoy the read of Harry's World.
And during my whirlwind visit, I did an interview with Daryl Manzie on Territory FM (see Media Page), and met Sean Guy at The Bookshop Darwin, who took some copies of Harry's World for his bookstore.
Definitely going to head back to Darwin for a more relaxed visit to see everything it has to offer.

I'm delighted to be organising an afternoon of Sydney crime and thriller authors at my favourite pub, the Australian Youth  Hotel.  And what better venue than the Nude Bar, where Harry's World enjoyed its book launch.

The Eventbrite publicity:
Soak up the stories and insights into crime and thriller novels face to face with 5 Sydney authors whilst enjoying some beverages in the historic surrounds of the Nude Bar at the Australian Youth Hotel.
Nigel Bartlett, Candice Fox, L.A. Larkin, Bruce McCabe andA.B. Patterson will discuss their writing and their novels, covering a wide range of the crime and thriller genres between them. 
Join us for a lively and wide-ranging panel discussion with the authors, including questions from the audience, and book signing opportunities afterwards.

Here in Darwin, and loving the place, although it is damned hot and humid!  But a lovely city and great people.

Looking forward to meeting readers at the Casuarina Library at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday 12 October.  I gather there are quite a few bookings, so will be great to chat with everyone.

Also, scheduled to do a phone interview about 9.30 a.m. tomorrow with Daryl Manzie on Territory FM 104.1.
Given Daryl's an ex-copper like me, should be a gutsy chat!
