The official book launch for Harry's World is almost here! Yes, this Sunday afternoon, 22 November 2015, at my favourite pub, the Australian Youth Hotel. And, of course, in their upstairs Nude Bar. How fitting, especially given the establishment's brief hiatus from being a pub and serving as a brothel! And the artworks are fantastic, well worth a look. From their website...
I'm very honoured to have Fiona Patten, leader of the Australian Sex Party and Victorian Upper House MP, making the keynote address for the launch. Fiona and I have been friends since I got involved with the Sex Party and ran for them in NSW in 2011 and 2012. For a political cynic like me, it's so refreshing and heartening to have someone of Fiona's integrity as a parliamentarian, we need a lot more politicians like her!
And the launch will be chaired by another friend of mine, Sydney crime writer Nigel Bartlett, author of King of the Road (a great read, highly recommended). After Fiona's address, Nigel will be moderating a Q&A session with Fiona and I, so there should be lots of interesting subject matter in there!
